In the latest banal books to feature Curious George in everyday situations, the monkey learns to play soccer and goes to his first sleepover. In a touch that's refreshingly realistic, George's team loses in Soccer (but that's okay: "He had stopped four goals!"). Hines does a middling job impersonating illustrator H. A. Rey's iconic style.
