Therefore, she was rewarded by being the first person to be visited by the risen Christ. The disciples, when told of her encounter, largely doubt her claims; only when Christ appears to them, and they see Him for themselves, do they believe in the Resurrection. It is then, too, that they realize that Mary Magdalene had, indeed, been correct. |
