The historical background covers both the defense of Bastogne centering on Easy Company, 506th PIR, 101st Airborne Division as well as background information about the Battle of the Bulge. There is additional information about Easy Company and the key leaders in the Battle of Bastogne.


Contributor Bio(s): Allen, Robert: - Robert Allen has spent over 40 years traveling Europe researching the areas that are known as "The Western Front" in World War I and World War II. He created 10 military history tours for the USO and continues to research areas for new tours. He has written 2 books about WWII and is working on a third. He also recently completed filming a pilot episode for a new history series called "Into the Fray with Martin King."
