Contributor Bio(s): Releford, Travis: - Travis Releford went to the University of Kansas as a highly-touted basketball recruit out of the Kansas City area. After being the odd man out during his freshman season, Releford accepted a redshirt during his second year. For the next three seasons, Releford became the player that everyone anticipated him being: a gritty defensive specialist who could carry the Jayhawks when needed. He became so valuable by the end of his senior year that coach Bill Self called Releford the "rock" of the Jayhawks.Fulks, Matt: - Matt Fulks grew up in the Kansas City area with parents who pulled for the Jayhawks, and started his journalism career while attending Lipscomb University in Nashville, Tennessee, after his baseball career was cut short by a lack of ability. He spends his time as a freelance writer, editor and co-host of the radio show, "Behind the Stats." He is the author/co-author of 14 other books, including Echoes of Kansas Basketball, More Than the Score, and A Good Place to Stop, co-authored with Max Falkenstien and Doug Vance.
