Contributor Bio(s): Bridgman, Jeremy: - Jeremy is an active member of the "Society of Children's Books Writers and Illustrators" (www.scbwi.org) and a life-long musician, currently playing the drums in two music groups along with composing and producing music in his home studio, located in the charming downtown Westchester neighborhood of Bakersfield, California. He is also the proud father of four musical children, and husband to a lovely piano teacher and singer. He manages his own company with multiple distinct aspects, consisting of IT services and support; music recording, production, and performance; book authorship; and more. The concept for Darci the Drummer formed as a result of his own musical adventures starting from a young age, along with the experience of music lessons that his own children are blessed to receive. He was also very inspired by the delight that has been exhibited by many who have sat down at his drum sets for fun, and the perseverance that he encourages in his children when facing doubt, struggle, and criticism. Lastly, he will never neglect to mention the number of toys, boxes and bins, and kitchen utensils that have been transformed into wonderfully noisy band instruments around the house.Steiger, Gabbi: - Gabrielle "Gabbi" Steiger is a freelance illustrator originating from Bakersfield, California. She recently graduated from California State University of Northridge with a BFA in Animation, and has since been building herself up as a brand and as an independent business. Her life goal is for art to be her career. She runs her own shop where she sells stickers, prints, buttons, and more with her original art and illustrations, and is in the process of creating original self-published comics and zines for the public to enjoy. You can probably find her at random coffee shops drawing people, and doing odd jobs like pet portraits and courtroom sketching. Music also plays a big part in her life and helps maintain her well-being, and she is extremely excited and grateful to be able to produce the illustrations for this book about a girl pursuing her dream of becoming a drummer. Music is awesome!
