Publisher Description:
Five Decades of World Travel. Volume Two. Is a book for photographers launching a career in corporate photography. Some of my valuable experiences I referenced in the first few pages of my published book. As a photographer you must rely on your creative instincts, coordinating design, color, space and ingenuity. During the past five decades, I've traveled to many countries taking pictures for annual reports and advertisements for major corporations. Ultimately you're responsible for achieving whatever it reasonably requires to provide your clients with exciting images. Most established companies advertise their products and services by implementing photography. Recognize the history of the company you would like to take pictures for. Research the last several years of annual reports and put together a portfolio for the company you are interested in. Whether you are meeting a graphic designer or a company art director, show a portfolio of images they can relate to. There are many categories you can select from; buildings, bridges, transportation, construction and business people. It doesn't matter what category you select, but take photographs of the same category at various times of the day. When on location taking photographs of an oil refinery or any other facility, consider pictures from various angles, heights, positions, at various times of the day as the light changes. Towards the end of the day, when the light is optimum, look through your lens and you will see a much more subdued image, instead of a harsh light from the afternoon sun. Unlike advertisements most of the time there isn't an art layout to follow. The graphic designer will convey a site location schedule with a name of the contact person, country of site location and photography subject; for example a state of the art computer room or a recent addition to a power plant, etc. These are few examples of many photography subjects that a company would feature in their annual report or brochure. There are many photography caption examples of this throughout my book. How you photograph this site location is up to you. This presents a valuable opportunity to create dramatic exciting images from many unusual shapes you will see. Also, include people in most of your images. Every photography assignment you photograph will give you confidence and experience for the following assignment.I hope you enjoy exploring Five Decades of World Travel.Book size 8.5 x 8.5 and a hundred pages
