She won the Royal Society Young People's Book Prize for Eye Benders and the London Science Museum Activity Book award for This Book Thinks You're a Scientist. She remembers how eye-opening and inspiring her favorite books were when she was a child and so she strives to have the same effect on the children who read her books.Petruccioli, Rita: - Rita Petruccioli is an illustrator and comic book artist with projects in advertising, magazines, textile design, and children's books. Rita attended the Accademia di Belle Arti in Rome and ENSAD in Paris, and her works have been exhibited in Italy, France, Germany and South Korea. When she's not drawing, she's engaged in workshops on gender stereotypes in comics.
