Publisher Description:

Zendor the Barbarian started out as a nickname for the author from a bandmate, his drumming style being a bit explosive and unpredictable yet with precision timing. Zendor was a moniker Bruce used on a television show he hosted in the early 1990s. The author is what many call an 'experiencer' of high strangeness since childhood, beginning just after finding out he was adopted just after his 4th birthday. The author's quest for family connection and self-identity, powered by a curiosity and fearless vulnerability, led into many realms of the unknown .

In an era of secrecy and withholding, Bruce shares his experience, questions and pondering possibilities with an exquisite writing style that offers unique perspectives through the intimacy and vulnerability of the journey. As a pseudo-autobiography, the author's ability to describe the subjective experience and report as an observer creates a portal into an evolving consciousness. This series may be the most authentic and honest self-exploration of the human, material and metaphysical worlds you'll find.

Zendor the Barbarian spins and twirls through the trials and tribulations of life in the weird. The exploration was the residual affect of a combination near-death and spiritually transformational experience (NDE/STE) in college, which occurred on November 11, 1975. The author had prayed to know 'truth' and offered his life in return just days before; the event, entering the 'light' and going beyond it, was his answer for the moment.

Thirteen years later, Bruce asks another deep question, "Who am I?" and is completely taken by surprise by the answer. Understanding the answers takes him on another decades-long journey. He shares his experiences with what are being termed the 'contact modalities' across the metaphysical spectrum and even includes ufology. The practical and pragmatic aren't left behind by this author, either, as his journey includes several industries and professional accomplishments, including earning two Masters Degrees in Business.

The journey and road less traveled will comfort some, confront others and offer considerations about objective reality all around. Where does it lead? The author believes we are just beginning to experience our next phase of evolution and feels there is a prudent path which includes self-awareness and understanding that promotes harmony. It is likely Earth's citizenry will need that on its way to becoming a Type I civilization.

Zendor the Barbarian, as a series, offers the reader an opportunity to explore the quest of another and perhaps find correlation, corroboration or new considerations without exposing their own highly strange encounters publicly. Sharing openly and transparently certainly carries its risks and rewards, though offering solace in a series of books is both cathartic and 'spooky cool at a distance.' Where it goes for you could be incredibly transformational. Each book in the series will take you through heart-rending moments to ecstatic experiences of transcendence. Enjoy the journey

You won't again see yourself or the world in the same way

It isn't often you get to review a book by someone you already know, respect - and this respect is based on the results that Zen delivers in the real, concrete world where most of us live. Zen is a perfect combination of can-do problem solver and off-your-radar philosopher in one amazing human being.

His book speaks of this world and other worlds with data, experience, insights, and questions, many of which the reader is challenged to answer - or at least ponder for extended periods.

Enjoy.
