Publisher Description:
Called a read-aloud gem by Quill & Quire, this picture book will delight children with its creative use of language and endearing illustrations.

In rhyming text that winds like a creek through a farmer's field, the book takes readers on a journey through one lovely day in Buttercup's life. Whether she is ruminating on the mud beneath her feet or on the moon and the stars in the blue-black sky, she draws us deep into her rich and wonderful world, reminding us all to be grateful for life's simple pleasures.

Contributor Bio(s): Beck, Carolyn: - Carolyn Beck first learned about letters when she was five. Right away she liked them. They make interesting sounds, like the s-s-s-sneaky S, the punchy P and the bouncy B. And best of all, in bunches they make WORDS! (Carolyn also discovered numbers and liked them too, but that is another story.) Carolyn lives in Toronto, Ontario.Beck, Andrea: -

Andrea Beck is the author/illustrator of the popular book series and TV show, Elliot Moose. Andrea is known for creating earnest characters that inhabit a world of warmth and friendship, appealing to children and parents alike. Beck studied at OCAD, York University and the University of Toronto and began her career as a toy designer. Her award-winning designs were featured in Canadian media and sold from coast to coast. Later, reading to her children, Beck was inspired by picturebooks and she began to write. Beck lives in Unionville, ON, with her two sons, her beagle Tillie and about 30 goldfish in the backyard pond. For more information, visit www.andreabeck.com.
