Publisher Description:
A continued quest on the road of discipleship. Show and Tell is a follow-up to "In It for Life" series. As I put together my thoughts, ideas, and references for this book, I was focused on the two things that were to become the title; show and tell. I have come to believe that God's Word tells us over and over that the Christian life and lifestyle is not only different from the world, but that those differences ought to show in our thinking, our feelings, and our actions. If the changes God desires and expects in us are not happening maybe we ought to "test ourselves to see if we are in the faith." (Second Corinthians 13:5) This scripture goes on to say "Do you not realize that Christ Jesus is in you-unless, of course, you fail the test?" And, I might add, "If He is in you, it ought to show " The second thing that ought to always be a part of the Christian life and lifestyle is a constant desire to tell of your experience with God. You may call it witnessing, testimony, or evangelism, but it involves telling others about the salvation found in Christ alone, and what God has done (past) - and is doing (present) - in your life. "Jesus said to them, "My Father is always at his work to this very day, and I, too, am working." (John 5:17) If this is true, it ought to show and we ought to tell Many people have told me of their salvation experience, and that is good. But, I want to know if God is doing anything in your life now Tell me about that
