Publisher Description:
This last book titled A TEACHING MANUAL FOR MOST ADVANCED STUDENTS OF A COURSE IN MIRACLES is the sixth of the series of six teaching manuals for MIRACLES. Herein, some concepts are included because they are too difficult to understand without a focused attempt to shed light on them. For instance, the concept of "miracles," itself, is included here with more extensive explanations than before in hopes that this will create a fuller understanding of what miracles really are in our daily experience. The term "miracles" has been included many times before in the previous books, where the inclusion of these more complicated explanations may have caused more confusion than understanding; but now it is time to examine the concept of miracles, itself. Another example is "order of difficulty," which is mentioned numerous times in the text because it is a central concept to understand; however, a clear picture of its meaning does not come easily, so it is presented here with the best ammunition that the Course presents when it is all brought together in one place. Other concepts like "opposites" and "fear" are offered here because their meanings go far beyond simple understandings based on what seem like commonly understood terms. And others are just simply the most difficult concepts to grasp, so they are left till last for students who have a solid basis on which to finally build an understanding of the terms. And a few terms are not the most difficult to understand, but they are important concepts, and there was no better place to put them within these teaching manuals; so inclusion in this final teaching manual is not entirely consistent according to any particular guideline. The hope is that including such concepts in this book with much fuller explanations will lead to less confusion and deeper understandings. And the ultimate goal is so that the reader will be more fully prepared to study the original text of A COURSE IN MIRACLES in order to arrive at the deepest understandings possible because then their broader contexts contribute to their enhanced understanding. These most difficult concepts are followed by a series of "Minor Concepts" that have not been covered in the other books, but which are significant enough to merit inclusion in a limited fashion. These minor definitions are not necessarily more difficult to understand than others, but they do not fulfill the requirements for major terms to be included in the other manuals; so they are included in this manual in order that that serious students will have a list of definitions readily at hand when they come across them in the text.
