They served well, but they also failed, disappointing God and their associates. Modern pastors, too, become entrapped in situations of fear, loneliness, depression, and failure.

We must address ways to prevent failure and learn about possibilities for intervention in order to be the witnessing church that God intends us to be.

Contributor Bio(s): Taylor, Glenn C.: - Glenn C. Taylor began his pastoral ministry in 1956 as a church planter. He planted three churches and also has served as a correctional chaplain, professor, counsellor, and assistant to the president in a college and seminary setting. He served as a CEO of a large inner-city ministry and a counsellor/consultant to more than 30 mission organizations, travelling to more than 20 countries for ministry and conflict/management concerns. He has graduate degrees in theology and psychology and training in trauma counselling. His passion has been the integration of these disciplines. He has provided counselling for pastors from many denominations as well as many churches in conflict. His wife Mary has provided accommodation in her home for hundreds of ministering families over many years.
