Publisher Description:
I have written Little Lottie in hopes that God's children might fully understand "the breadth, and length, and depth, and height" of the love of God. The apostle John teaches in 1 John 4:7-8 that "love is of God... for God is love." I have included a few pages of scripture at the back of the book which give the assurance that God's love is everlasting, unconditional, and no thing is able to separate us from His love. Each of God's children are created as uniquely special members of His kingdom and are "wonderfully made." He watches over our daily lives, seeing "every precious thing." The Bible refers to God's beloved ones as "the apple of His eye." This reference is to one's pupil which requires constant care and protection. We can be confident that God will, as Aaron prays in Numbers 6:25-26, "make His face shine upon thee, and be gracious unto thee; ... lift up His countenance upon thee, and give thee peace." The greatest evidence of unfathomable love is in Romans 5:8 which declares "in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us." John 3:16 testifies that "God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life." Christ Jesus reaffirms this promise in John 10:28-30, adding that we are held in His hands and no man can keep us from Him. "And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand... and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father's hand. I and my Father are one."
