Publisher Description:
Black Beauty is a fictional autobiographical narrative of the life of a Horse written by Anna Sewell, an English novelist who became invalid at the age of 12 and wrote this only novel which was published 5 months before her death. Black Beauty, a titular horse narrates his life and incidents took place from his enjoyable life as a colt with his mother in an English form, to hard times as pulling cabs in London and happy retirement. During his lifetime, he had encountered with many people who treated him with cruelty and kind. This novel also had a great social impact on the horse-drawn cab drivers, who were operating at harsh conditions of high licensing fees and fixed low fares.
