Publisher Description:
How do you describe someone who is indescribable? First of all with a humble confession that we "know in part and we prophesy, (speak) in part (I Corinthians 13:9)". We have endeavoured in this manual to look at the parts that have been made known in Biblical revelation. This revelation has come from Old Testament prophets, New Testament apostles, and from Jesus Himself. There are additional scattered comments from others about Him, but in the main the revelation about Christ is summed up by the three already mentioned. In this study of the Christ, we begin before there was a beginning. We look at Him in eternity past, not that eternity has a past and future, but since we are a creation in time and space, it helps us identify what has happened, and what is yet to happen in the endless life of Jesus Christ. In fact, the first four lessons of the manual deal with what the revelation shows and says about Him prior to His incarnation. From the first prophetic utterance (Genesis 3:15), that He would be the "seed" of the woman, we trace this "seed" revelation through the history, types, and prophecies of the old covenant period. It is an amazing journey. Hundreds of years prior to the incarnation, we read the promises and prophecies concerning the Messiah, and then sit in awe and wonder at how God fulfilled them in minute detail
