Publisher Description: George Washington Gingerich was born in 1827 in Juniata County, Pennsylvania. He went West circa 1850, perhaps with his older brother John S. Gingerich. George eventually settled in Illinois. His first wife, Elizabeth Pannebaker, and their child, William died there and George later remarried. His second wife was Mary Ann O'Kane. At some point George began using the Kingery spelling for his surname. He died in 1913 in Illinois. William Watson Gingerich, a younger brother of George, was born in 1829 in Juniata County, Pennsylvania. He remained in Pennsylvania but moved to Perry County. He married Amelia Hetrick. Some of the names affiliated with the George W. Gingrich/Kingery-William W. Gingerich group include: Buell, Carroll, Dimmick, Peterson, and Reed . |
