Publisher Description: I was a retired accountant just trying to enjoy life in Florida when I was called to jury duty and picked as a juror for the John Goodman trial. During the trial, one of the jurors who knew that I was writing the book on my adventures of trying to find a date without a car, suggested that I write a book about the trial. I stopped working on the first book and started Believing in the Truth. I also wanted the readers to know what it was like being a dedicated juror and how each day of the trial went along. I never thought I would end up in jail myself a year after the trial was over. Mr. Goodman was charged with driving intoxicated and running through a stop sign, hitting an on coming car and dragging that car into a canal where the young man victim driving his car was killed. The story started with the trial that I was a juror on and continues after the trial and how I ended up on trial also. This is how I remembered all that has happened in the last five years. |
