Publisher Description:
This libretto, The Brits is a British/French Opera written by a British author Kristina Howells, and the music is composed by a French composer Fr d ric Bara. It tells a tale of British citizens arrive at the fishing port of Calais, wanting to claim asylum and remaining in the EU. They come with nothing except their belongings. They are welcomed by the British Association Cote d'Opale that takes them on a tour of where the first Brexiters had landed, before finishing at their new lodgings the Notre Dame Church, were they are finally left to settle in and adjust to their new life in Calais France. In the opera one witnesses the struggles for the new arrivals, and love that has been lost, but will be found as they take their residence in the church.
