She holds an MFA in Writing for Children & Young Adults from the Vermont College of Fine Arts and completed her MA in History at William Paterson University, where she teaches composition and creative writing. Her debut picture book, Goldie Takes a Stand: Golda Meir's First Crusade, was named a 2015 Sydney Taylor Honor Book for Young Readers by the Association of Jewish Libraries.Ford, Jeanne Marie: - Jeanne Marie Ford is an Emmy-winning TV scriptwriter and holds an MFA in Writing for Children from Vermont College. She has written numerous children's books and articles and also teaches college English. She lives in Maryland with her husband and two children.Havemeyer, Janie: - Janie Havemeyer is an author of books for young readers. She has been a featured author on the Girl Scouts' The Studio. Her two middle grade biographies Catherine de' Medici "The Black Queen" and Njinga "The Warrior Queen" were part of the American Library Association's Top Ten Non-Fiction Series for Youth in 2012. Janie earned a Master's in Education degree from Bank Street College and taught in schools and museums. Janie lives in San Francisco, California.
