Publisher Description:
Are the beasts described in Revelation really beasts? Are these fierce animals with long sharp claws, pointed tails, and eyes glowing with fire? Why does Apostle John use the word 'beast' so many times in his writing of Revelation? This book answers these questions. Many beasts are mentioned in the Book of Revelation. Some sound fierce and horrible; and in most cases they are not describable. The word beast or beasts is used in situations that do not really sound as if they actually are real beasts. Ordinarily, the descriptive word beast does not describe a real beast. In most cases the word beast is used as a simple and common metaphor. Most often it merely describes an entity or a blank metaphor to define something that has no clear definition; it's only something or an idea. For example, the four beasts that introduce the four horses of the Apocalypse are not really beasts. John called them beasts simply because he didn't know how else to describe them. They were unidentifiable entities sitting near God's throne performing tasks such as introducing those four horses. They had eyes that could see things ahead and behind 'crystal clear.' In modern terms they could easily have been described as a hologram, a radio, or a television. They were merely entities with a function to make the introductions according to each of their descriptions. The first beast was like a lion. The second beast was like a calf. The third beast had the face of a man. The last beast was like a flying eagle. Each had a specific function to introduce. However, Revelation does introduce and define three specific beasts in Chapter 13. The general beast is revealed as Mother Babylon. The first beast occupies that position of the Antichrist. This beast died in 632 AD. The second beast, also known as the false prophet, is the one who created that image to the beast. He roams among us today. This book introduces and defines each of these beasts. By having this information, the Book of Revelation becomes clearer for anyone to read and understand. God Bless America, and Protect Israel.
