Contributor Bio(s): Ballard, J. G.: - J.G. Ballard (1930-2009) was an English writer of short stories and novels. Several of his best-known works were adapted into successful movies, including Crash, and Empire of the Sun. A continual recipient of critical acclaim, the Times included him in their 2008 list of The 50 Greatest British Writers. Rintoul, David: -David Rintoul is a stage and television actor. A former student of the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art in London, he has worked extensively with the Royal National Theatre and the Royal Shakespeare Company. He has also appeared regularly on BBC television, starring as Mr. Darcy in the 1980 adaptation of Pride and Prejudice and as Doctor Finlay in the television series of the same name. |
