Bainbridge, author of Gardening with Less Water, has studied and used innovative irrigation systems for more than 30 years in his garden and yard and on desert restoration projects in the Mojave and Sonoran Deserts. He is the author or co-author of several books, including The Straw Bale House, A Guide for Desert and Dryland Restoration, and Passive Solar Architecture. Recently retired from his position as associate professor of sustainable management at Alliant International University, where he won awards for teaching, research, and community service, Bainbridge lives in San Diego and continues to explore new and traditional methods of using resources more wisely. |
