Publisher Description:

"We are hard pressed on every side, but not crushed; perplexed, but not in despair; . . . struck down, but not destroyed." (2 Corinthians 4:8-9)

At the height of his professional career, Mark Wiggins received devastating news. "You have stage four head and neck cancer, and the prognosis is not good."

The inevitable questions flooded his mind: Why? Why me? Why now? I don't smoke or drink, and I exercise regularly . . . I train and run marathons. How could I possibly have this deadly disease?

A Temporary Inconvenience is a deeply personal look at Mark Wiggins' journey through the most difficult battle of his life--stage four cancer. With the help and love of his family and friends, including his two daughters and devoted wife, Mark decided to chronicle his arduous journey through the uncharted territory of medical diagnoses, tests, treatments, surgeries, and medications that have brought him to where he is today: in a constant fight for his life.

If you've ever wondered how someone who holds a deep faith in God walks through life's toughest challenges, then you need to read Mark's story. Everything is laid bare . . . the struggles and victories, the disappointments and successes. And in the midst of this impossibly difficult journey, you will also hear the melody of a deep, sustaining faith and the song of gratitude that fills the lungs of this man who praises God for every breath. Join Mark Wiggins in this extraordinary journey that he has declared to be a temporary inconvenience

"Come near to God and he will come near to you." (James 4:8)
