She has written professional books as well as children's poetry and fiction. She enjoys reading to the children in her elementary school library, where she is known for bringing her guitar to story time.Barna, Tom David: - Playwright and lyricist, Tom David Barna draws on his experiences as a father of three lovely children to inspire him in his work. He has written lyrics for ten children's musicals that have been produced since 2011. Barna is a two-time McKnight Fellow, an award he received for his work as a dramatist.O'Byrne, Nicola: - Nicola O'Byrne was born in Swaziland and has lived in Papua New Guinea, Singapore, Kenya and Edinburgh. Her mother teaches physics at an international school, and her father is an orchid specialist and author. She even has an orchid named after her! She studied illustration at Edinburgh College of Art where she received a First Class Degree. Nicky now lives in London where she does freelance illustration and studies printmaking. Her illustrations are often based on real locations and people she has observed. When she's not drawing, she enjoys swimming, baking, and watching movies.Palin, Tim: - Tim Palin has been drawing ever since he can remember. On road trips as a kid, he drew monsters in the back of the car. In high school, he'd stay up all night drawing cartoon dinosaurs. In his college years, he took drawing and sketching classes.
