Contributor Bio(s): Lindner M. a., Geneva, M.: - Geneva grew up in the prairie state of Illinois, affectionately known as "the Land of Lincoln." Living on the outskirts of Peoria, she attended Dunlap High School, and later joined the United States Navy as a photographer. She earned her undergraduate degree and two graduate degrees from George Mason University. She has been teaching high school American History for nearly twenty years, and has taught American History at Northern Virginia Community College.
