"a life, an orphan" is a wordless book of 66 pages. The loose pencil sketches in black and white
narrate the story of an orphan child abandoned in a city. He encounters many difficult situations, ends up at a train station where a lady sees him and rescues him taking him to an orphanage where she is the Director. He realizes other kids are in the same situation as him and in a moment becomes part of a big family. Goes through school, suffers bullying and difficult times as an adolescent. Then he enters College, works hard and graduates as a Teacher. His family are the orphans, he returns there and is received with a big sign saying " Welcome Home Teacher " The story tells us about the risks and vulnerabilities of a child being alone at a young age, the resilience of a human being, and the victory of overcoming difficulties. The story is based on a real life of an orphan in Mexico. This book can be enjoyed by any age group.
