Publisher Description:

Alice, a gentile firefly, hears Cornelius crying alone on his lily pad one day and flies down to investigate. Cornelius has been all alone for quite some time and is sad and scared. Alice introduces Cornelius to her friend Jack, a beautiful blue-green winged dragonfly and together they befriend Cornelius. As Cornelius slowly learns to trust his new friends, he finally decides to share his feelings and fears. Alice and Jack are so touched by his story they decide to help Cornelius. They know of a special pond with other loving frogs who would love and take care of Cornelius. However, it is a three-day journey for Cornelius who, because he can't fly, can't see that there is indeed a pond where he will be accepted. So he won't' have to travel alone, Jack promises to stay by Cornelius's side during the day, and Alice promises to light the way during the night. And thus, their journey begins.
