Her evocative poetry reaches deep within to touch your spirit and speak to your soul. Grab a pot of tea, settle in and prepare to be transported. Robin will move you to greater levels of awareness with the power of her words" - mother wintermoon Robin Barratt is a poet who lives in Austin, TX. She was Born On the Island in Galveston and grew up in Fort Worth. Robin bounced along for many years as an Agnostic Episco-tarian, but she never found her place in either half of that equation. After a long personal and communal journey, Robin completed her conversion to Judaism in 2014. She regards her conversion as the only definite, conscious choice of her life. And there's so much more to learn. Robin has been writing poetry since she tripped over a short poem of William Carlos Williams's in 7th grade. Her poems have appeared in a number of magazines and she hosts poetry workshops in Austin. But in her footnotes, Robin took the train from Nuevo Laredo to Mexico City when that was still possible; traveled to Russia, Azerbaijan, Armenia and Georgia when they were still in the USSR; lived in various parts of NYC in the 80s and is a 1983 graduate of Barnard College.
