Contributor Bio(s): Salgado, Gabriela: - Gabriela Salgado is an Argentine-born curator based in London, where she obtained an MA in Curating Contemporary Art from the Royal College of Art. She has curated a large number of exhibitions and has lectured in over twenty countries. She specialized in Latin American art as Curator of the Collection of Latin American Art at Essex University, UECLAA (1999-2005) and was curator of Public Programmes at Tate Modern (2006-2011). Gabriela curated La Otra Bienal in Bogotá, Colombia (2013) and the 2nd Biennale of Thessaloniki, Greece (2009). She works internationally as curator and consultant and is currently directing a programme of exchanges between African and Latin American artists. www.gabrielasalgado.co.uk.Brown, Carol: - "Carol Brown was director of the Durban Art Gallery from 1996-2006. She is currently an independent curator working on art projects both in South Africa and internationally. She has published many exhibition catalogues and contributed to various publications - mainly on contemporary South African art. Carol holds a Master's Degree in Art History - her topic was the transformation of art museums in South Africa post-apartheid. She was Visual Arts Adviser to the French/SA Seasons in 2012-13, and has consulted on important and varied collections such as the Constitutional Court of SA, The Moses Mabhida Stadium 2010 collection, and the SA Department of Arts and Culture. She has a long-term curatorial partnership with the Global Art and Health Centre of UCLA and also runs Professional Practice seminars for emerging artists and curators."Wood, Elizabeth: - Elizabeth (Elee) Wood is a practitioner and scholar in the field of informal and non-formal learning in museums and community settings. She currently serves on the faculty of the museum studies program and in teacher education at Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis (IUPUI). There she teaches courses in museum education, museums and audiences, museum theatre, and object-based learning. As part of IUPUI's commitment to civic engagement, Wood also serves as the public scholar of museums, families, and learning in residence at The Children's Museum of Indianapolis.
