| Publisher Description: This colourful picture book is based on the author's seven-year-old son and his capacity to incorporate hockey into all that he does: eating, drawing, music, visits with friends, sleeping and stories. This book has a different feel from her previous books, with playful watercolour and ink images of characters and scenes, sometimes three or four to a page, and no complete backgrounds - just light-hearted visual vignettes that enhance the verse with humour and coziness. Contributor Bio(s): Groenendyk, Doretta: - Doretta Groenendyk, a painter, writer and teacher, lives with her family on a small spot of land in the Annapolis Valley of Nova Scotia. Doretta is the illustrator of the children's book Bounce & Beans & Burn and the author and illustrator of several books, including Hockey Morning Noon and Night, I'm drawing a picture, I'm Writing a Story, Bully 101 and Step Outside. Her books Snow for Christmas and Thank You for My Bed both have been shortlisted for the Lillian Shepherd Memorial Award for Excellence in Illustration.
