Contributor Bio(s): James, Skylar: - "Skylar James was born and raised in New York City. She learned to ride horses at the age of six and although her riding career lasted just one year, she is exceedingly proud of the red ribbon she won "that one time." She spent many afternoons pressed against the rail at The Meadowlands Racetrack, long before she was big enough to see over it. Skylar worked in charity, and before that in film and television, until she decided to chase her dreams and become a writer. This is her first novel. She hopes you enjoy it. - www.skylarjamesbooks.com - @skylarjames917"McMorris, Kelley: - Kelley McMorris is a freelance illustrator, originally from the San Francisco Bay Area, but is currently traveling the world. She received her MFA in Illustration from the Academy of Art University and a BA in Japanese at San Jose State University. In 2013 Kelley won the SCBWI Student Illustrator Scholarship. Clients include Disney Hyperion, Scholastic, Lifeway, Highlights and Cricket magazine. Her work has been featured in Illustration West 52, Applied Arts, ImagineFX and the SCBWI bulletin.
