Violet worked as a professor of illustration at the Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD) in Georgia. Violet's illustrations have been published by Penguin, Holt, HarperCollins, McGraw-Hill, Scholastic, and Highlights magazine. Violet currently lives in Auckland, New Zealand.
