Suri works for the tax collector, Zacchaeus, who treats him badly, over-charges people, and keeps the extra money for himself. While Yama and Samuel are in town, a crowd gathers to hear Jesus speak. Jesus see Zacchaeus sitting up in a tree watching all the activity. Jesus invites him to come down from the tree and then talks with him about what he has done and how cheating people hurts them and the cheater. Zacchaeus understands that he is has done wrong, confesses, asks forgiveness, and repays the people 4 times what he took from them. He apologizes to Suri and promises to be kind and honest from then on. |
