Publisher Description:
Viviana Carrieri graduated as a professor of plastic arts at the School of Arts in the Universidad Nacional de Cuyo. She has a postgraduate degree in Virtualization of Cultural Heritage from the Universidad de Alicante, Spain; and one in Education Technology from the Universidad Aut noma del Estado de Hidalgo, Mexico, where she is currently writing her thesis for a Masters degree in Education Technology. She currently works as a Professor in Furniture and Ornamentation for the career of scenographic design in the School of Arts of the Universidad Nacional de Cuyo. In this book she takes on the challenge of declaring and arguing that history, art, and social life have shaped furniture throughout the sixteenth and seventeenth centuries. For this purpose, she incorporates original sources in French, English, and Spanish, in the hopes of providing a historical outlook to professionals, students and amateur enthusiasts of furniture and scenographic art, for the creation of ambiences located in France, in the time of its royal golden age. This proposal comes to life in a clear and precise text, which is also kind to the reader. Furthermore, it is relevant not only for specialists, but also to anyone who may be interested in it. Due to its characteristics, this work can constitute a valuable tool for teachers, researchers, as well as the general public.
