In such scenarios the amount of data transfer to be done is not much and the cost of industrial signal cable is high for purchase, installation and maintenance. With available low cost microcontrollers and wireless technology, significant cost reduction can be achieved by transmission of weighbridge data on wireless channel. With this modification in data transfer of weighbridge, the installation of portable weighbridge also becomes easy. The book discusses Robust sensor network using Zigbee protocol and Microchip's PIC microcontroller has been used for the implementation of prototype design for a wireless weighbridge development. |
