One of the most relevant recoveries of works of art in the last years by the Command of the Carabinieri for the Protection of Cultural Heritage brought back to Italy a large number of finds including painted terracotta plaques, the very same that once decorated the walls of buindings in ancient Caere, following the Greek tradition of the leukomata, painted wooden tablets hanging close to one another in continuous friezes.
