Contributor Bio(s): Alvarado, Pat: - Patricia Veazey Alvarado grew up in Abbeville, Louisiana. She graduated from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette, with a degree in French and English. Then in a spirit of adventure she moved to the Republic of Panama to teach with the United Fruit Company. Later she received a Master's Degree in Educational Psychology from the University of Oklahoma. After her 30-year teaching career, she now dedicates her time to writing bilingual children's stories and to laughing, especially at herself. Pat resides in Panama with her husband.Dez, Jahnie: - Jahnie Dez (John Hernandez) is an illustrator and game designer. He spends most of his free time watching movies and/or playing board games with his family and friends. His passion lies in crafting and developing analog games with the hopes of one day distributing them around the world for all to enjoy. Jahnie currently resides in Katy, Texas USA.Wild, Alexander: - Alex Wild is a Texas-based biologist who started photographing insects in 2002 as an aesthetic complement to his scientific work on ant taxonomy and evolution. Alex holds a Ph.D. in Entomology from the University of California/Davis and is Curator of Entomology at the University of Texas/Austin.
