Contributor Bio(s): Alvarado, Pat: - Patricia Veazey Alvarado grew up in Abbeville, Louisiana. She graduated from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette, with a degree in French and English. Then in a spirit of adventure she moved to the Republic of Panama to teach with the United Fruit Company. Later she received a Master's Degree in Educational Psychology from the University of Oklahoma. After her 30-year teaching career, she now dedicates her time to writing bilingual children's stories and to laughing, especially at herself. Pat resides in Panama with her husband.Alvarado, Andrea E.: - ANDREA SAROYA (AKA Andrea E. Alvarado) has been drawing since she was three years old. At first, a normal thing for any kid, the difference is, she never stopped. The beautiful jungles and beaches of her home country Panama and the clear star-lit nights she encountered in Taos, New Mexico, USA, many years ago, inspire her. She became a Children's Book Illustrator because it gives her the freedom to imagine, to use colors in many ways and be humorous as well. You can checkout her work at www.andreasaroya.com.
