The author takes an in-depth look at the role of Che Guevara and the Cubans during the Congo crisis and at a number of other events which unfolded during that period. The Congo crisis was one of the most important political developments in the history of post-colonial Africa. And its impact is still felt today as the country continues to suffer from years of abuse and neglect, including external intervention, a fate it has endured since the sixties. |
