Publisher Description:
In 2015, as an antidote to her busy life in Dublin Caroline Murphy-Bennis started to renovate an old cottage on the Loop Head Peninsula, County Clare, in the West of Ireland. During this time, Caroline enjoyed time sitting in the wilderness of the beautiful Irish landscape. Surprisingly, her awareness began to expand, to see the underlying universal principles present in our reality. These new insights acted as a catalyst by turning her curiosity inward. Caroline began to reflect on her inner consciousness and the collective consciousness of humanity. Declare a Republic, A Free State of Mind is a collection of poems that came from this inner journey back to the rich simplicity of nature and ultimately to the discovery of our True Nature. "The 2020 Pandemic acted as a catalyst for the people of Ireland to embark on an inner journey. These challenging times opened a window for a Nation to reconnect with its ancient innate spiritual wisdom of the heart. By entering the presence of the immense beauty of this magical land. My intention for this book is to co-create a collective reflective piece, which bears witness to this movement back to our love of nature. The photographs which accompany this collection of poems were contributed by the Irish public after my open request online. They came from the four provinces of Ireland using mobile phone photography, taken since March 2020 during the Covid-19 restrictions. It is now time for this Nation to begin a Quest to a 'Free State of Mind, ' an inner liberation from an oppressed and suppressed consciousness." Caroline Murphy-Bennis
