Publisher Description:
The 2019 Calaveras Ranger District Camper Origin Study provides a quantitative analysis of origin data of campers on the Calaveras Ranger District during the 2019 camping season to determine the states, counties, and ZIP Code areas where campers originated for the federally managed campgrounds on the district. The data gathered came from over 3,000 Recreation Fee Envelopes collected from campers that were used to pay for the days they camped on the district during the 2019 season. This information may be useful for land managers, county officials, and business developers and operators by providing specific information that can be used in creating more accurate marketing, business, or operating plans and budgets. Furthermore, this study provides a framework that can be repeated for continuous annual surveys. This study took place in the Calaveras Ranger District of the Stanislaus National Forest in California.
