| Publisher Description: What is happening in the old stone building that stands in the village of Idlefen? Harry and Maisie are two field mice who have just made their home in a hole in one of its walls, thinking that the building is empty. But when they see large numbers of people coming inside for some sort of meeting, the mice wonder what is going on. The mystery deepens when, one winter's night, a model of a human baby lying in a box of straw is set up inside the building, and coloured lights appear in the big fir tree in the garden next to Harry and Maisie's home.
