Lisa Clough has written books novels and picture books, but this is her first foray into the world of early readers. Her work has won awards from Child Magazine, Parent's Choice, Bank Street, Raising Readers, and Entertainment Weekly. She spends her summers in Portland, Maine, and her winters in Clayton, New Jersey, where she's an assistant professor at Rowan University. Ed Briant has published for Flux Llewelyn, Roaring Book, Greenwillow Press, and Atheneum. His first book, Paper Parade, was named a Publisher's Weekly Flying Start. He is also the author and illustrator of the weekly comic "Tales from the Slushpile," published online with Publisher's Weekly's Children's Bookshelf since 2005. He has taught illustration at Delaware College of Art and Design in Wilmington, Delaware.
