Publisher Description: I wrote The Bears of Foggy Dew so there would be a children's book showing a bear's nature. One that shows how a bear lives and the kinds of things they do and find during seasonal ranging. This book also outlines a specific area, from Gold Creek in the Okanogan National Forest to Skykomish, Washington, including the Sawtooth and Wenatchee National Forests and Empire Builder Rail Line between Wenatchee and Skykomish. Only within the past 25 years, have studies been done specifically on bears. Before the 1970's, there was very little scientifically known about bears. This book reflects some of what has been learned about bears, since that time. |
