These geography reference books disguised as travel guides use tidbits of trivia and engaging photographs (e.g., the tomato-throwing festival in [cf2]Espana[cf1]) to try to hook readers. Translation errors, typos, and several English-only resource lists weaken the Spanish-language editions. Reading list, timeline. Glos., ind. [Review covers these Detectives de viaje titles: [cf2]Japon[cf1], [cf2]Mexico[cf1], [cf2]Espana[cf1], [cf2]Francia[cf1], [cf2]Italia[cf1], and [cf2]India[cf1].] Copyright 2009 Horn Book Guide Reviews.
