Desert Storm was the name given to this first military offensive of Gulf War I. "The King of the North shall stretch forth his hand also upon the countries: and the land of Egypt shall not escape" (Dan.11:42)The subsequent reduction in population of the Middle East is part of a scheme for verse 45 to be realized. This forms the genesis of the battle of Armageddon. In this final verse, Daniel identifies the Mount of Olives as the command center of this Battle.
