Contributor Bio(s): Budai, Karmen: - Karmen is originally from a small country in Europe called Slovakia, a popular holiday destination for tourists visiting the country's beautiful mountains. Since childhood, she had a creative streak, which led to studying fashion design in her college years. Fashion remained a hobby and she moved on to facilitate in the corporate environment. She moved to the United Kingdom in 2004, intending to only stay for a few years, but settled there with her family. She has a beautiful son, and the most demanding, feathered velcro cockatoo, called Polly, that consumes a majority of the family time. Polly is a toddler that will never grow up. There are also new additions to the family of five delightful budgies. Karmen's passion to contribute to the limited knowledge available on healthy food for parrots led to the creation of this book and its wide variety of nutritious recipes.Pao, Shean: - Shean grew up on the west coast. As a girl, she began writing poetry and short stories. She became a published author in 2016 when her book was chosen by NYT best selling author, David Farland to be the first in his David Farland Discovery Program. Shean has been devoted to birds all her life, owning numerous parrots and rescuing wild birds. She joined Parrot Station in 2017, became Marlene's lead administrator, and helped grow Parrot Station from 3,000 members to over 56,000 in under a year. Shean is also a graphic designer and runs an award winning design and photography business with her husband. They reside in California with three marvellous talking creatures-Zen, and Anaiah, African Grey Parrots, and CJ, a Sun Conure.
