Publisher Description:

Do you want to be as good at business as you are at your trade?

If you are a trades' or building business owner, or looking at getting into business, this book will take you through the process step by step. In 2003 there weren't any business workshops for Trades and Building Business Owners in Australia, so Miles Primrose had the vision of creating the most comprehensive business and personal development workshop for the industry. BusinessSight has certainly surpassed that with over 36+ specialists in the BusinessSight Mentor Workshop.

Here you will be able to work through the 12 steps of building your business and look at the most important question: Why am I in business? Not making a decision is the same as making a decision to do nothing

Contributor Bio(s): Primrose, Miles: - I had a dream of running a business from the age of six. However, I did not do well at school. I remember having to take a letter home to my mother. It read: 'When Miles finds a subject he likes, he does well; when he doesn't, he disrupts the entire school.' I was simply someone who had ideas and suggested thing to other students. They couldn't expel me or suspend me but at the age of fourteen-and-three quarters, I was asked to leave the traditional tech school I was attending. My mother asked me to get a job with a solid business, so off I went to work at the local supermarket. This was a great experience for me to learn about business. As time went on, however, I was told I was not suited for the cadet training program, so I found managers in various stores to learn from. In my mid-twenties, I opened up new supermarkets across the North Island of New Zealand, and till I was thirty, I worked in New South Wales, turning around under-performing businesses. In most of the jobs I had, I was asked to leave, because I would get results but not worry about being in the boys' club. I left my last job in 2003. It was a great journey as I learnt so much about business, and I'm grateful for all the times I was asked to leave, as that's what got me to where I am today. I started helping trades and builders because I am great at helping businesses make money, getting clear on the big picture and implementing the structures needed to get there. I did some research as to how many trades and building business there are in Australia, and then worked on my big picture, which is outlined below: Our purpose is to revolutionise the way trades and building businesses do business globally. Our vision in 2003 was to create the most comprehensive and in-depth business and personal development workshop for trades and building business owners in Australia. Our mission is for you to be as good at business as you are at your trade, thereby giving you the opportunity to see a bigger business future. Note: we have changed our vision now as we have exceeded our original vision and now have a bigger goal we are working on. The BusinessSight Mentor Workshop has over thirty-six specialist presenters. It provides participants with an extensive take-home library with both hard copy and digital business tools and resources, plus it gives you the personal support you deserve.
