Contributor Bio(s): O'Flaherty, Liam: - Liam O'Flaherty (1896-1984) was born in the Aran Islands of Ireland. He performed a number of odd jobs before writing his first novel in1923. Awarded the Irish Academy of Letters Award for Literature, O'Flaherty wrote fourteen novels, a number of short stories, and countless other works. The Informer was first published in 1925. |
