She is a professor in the department of mathematics at Towson University. A former classroom teacher, she is a mathematics education researcher, the author of numerous other books and articles, and a nationally recognized speaker on math education."Oberdorf, Christine: - Christine Oberdorf is coauthor of Introduction to Connections (PreK-2 and 3-5), part of Heinemann's Math Process Standards Series. She is a math content coach with Montgomery County Public Schools in Maryland. She is a board representative for the Maryland Council of Teachers of Mathematics and serves as a consultant for various districts and school systems.
